It was great to speak with Capital this week as part of an article discussing the impact inflationary pressures may have on the number of IPOs seen this year.

Whilst 2021 was a record year for IPOs, the momentum is forecast to fade this year as a result of macroeconomic pressures.

I believe the threat of rising inflation and potentially higher interest rates may be the reason we begin to see a downward pressure on IPOs in 2022 as people become more cautious on whether now is the right time to list.
