Errors involving manual calculations on complex, one-off payroll areas, or missing information – such as new joiner details, tax codes changes or deductions – are key reasons for not processing payroll on time.
However, these problems are decreasing as more people move to automated software or external service providers. Both are considerably more cost effective and available to even the smallest business.
